Ringing permit

Rining permits are issued by the Norwegian Environment Agency (Miljødirektoratet), based on recommendations from the ringing centre.

Ringmerkingsbase is a national system for the licensing of ringers in Norway. In Ringmerkerbase you can find information about your type of permit and affiliated ringing group.

Each ringer is responsible for updating their own contact information on the website.

In order to log in at your site in the base you must enter your user and password. This is managed by the ringing centre. Questions about this are addressed to birdringing(a)museumstavanger.no

Your current ringing permit is available as a pdf-file at your site. Printed copies should at all times be brought along and be available during ringing activities.
